Electrolyte Analyzer Instrument Instructions
1- Purpose
The purpose of this guideline is to describe the process and quality control of the AUDICOM AC 9800 analyzer for measuring sodium, potassium, ionized calcium and chlorine by ISE.
2- Scope of application
This instruction applies to the biochemistry section.
3- Responsibility for implementation
He is responsible for implementing this implementation method with the technical staff of the biochemistry department and is responsible for quality assurance.
4- Definitions
does not have.
5- Description of actions
Principles :
Based on Ion Selective Electrode. Unlike other ISE devices, this device uses membrane-free electrodes (self-ion polymers).
method:
1- Turn on the device key (located in the back of the device)
2. After turning on the Electrode Activation message, it will appear on the screen. Before confirming it, pour some Activation solution into the cup and put it in the Flush Position, then press Yes (to activate the ISE electrodes). is).
3- After activating the electrodes, the message Sample Pump Calibration appears on the screen, we press the Yes key to calibrate (it has 2 stages of calibration A and B and in the third stage it controls calibration A).
3 items must be within acceptable limits for each test to get the device ready.
4- After calibrating the Main Menu, it will be displayed on the screen.
5 - To accept the patient must enter the first option or Analysis, press the key 1)
6- It is asked: Your sample is blood or urine and we press with the Blood option or the same key 1).
7- Next question: Analysis Blood is pressing the Yes key.
8- Next, he asks us for the tray number, which is basically the number 01. Then press Yes.
9- Next, he asks us for the number of the first patient, which is basically the number 01. Then press Yes.
10. Next, the number asks for the first position of the patient, and we press 01 again, then press Yes.
11- Next, the number of the last position of the patient wants that if we have 5 patients, we press the number of the last position of 05, then we press the Yes key.
12. Begin to draw samples and start reading them.
13. To return to the previous menu, we must use the No button.
Main Menu
1) Analysis 4) Qc
2) Set up 5) Service
3) Calibration 6) Emergency
Acceptance of emergency patients:
To accept the patient as an emergency, press the Emergency key or number 6, then he wants us to put the emergency patient in the ST position, then press Yes.
Control and maintenance:
Follow the instructions below to determine the washing time of the device:
1- If the number of tests performed is less than 15 per day, the device should be washed every two months.
2- If the number of tests performed is between 15 and 30 per day, the device should be washed once a month.
3- If the number of tests performed is more than 30 per day, the device should be washed once a week.
The following steps must be taken to wash the device:
1-
4) Services → 2) Maintenance → 1) Electrode Deproteinization Main Menu →
This mode is used to wash the syringe that draws the samples (you wash the deposited proteins).
2-
4) Services → 2) Maintenance → 1) Electrode Activation Main Menu →
This mode is used to activate electrodes.
3-
4) Services → 2) Maintenance → 1) Cleaning Probe Main Menu →
This mode is for washing probes.
For the above three operations, we have to pour the relevant solutions into the cup and put it in the Flush Position, and then press the Yes key.
Service and repair:
does not have.
Safety considerations for working with the device:
1- Be sure to use sockets equipped with Earth.
2- Use disposable cups to perform calcium testing.
3- It is better not to turn off the device at all and always be in Stand By mode.
